About Lovebeans Cat Lounge

Some ideas find you. This one refused to let go.

It started in Indiana. Dan was on tour — bassist, road veteran, coffee obsessive — somewhere between a gig, a nap, and a festival appearance at Bourbon & Beyond when he wandered into a cat café for the first time. He ordered a coffee and of course, bought the hoodie. A dozen cats wandered over. Strangers started talking. Within five minutes nobody in the room was a stranger anymore.

He met a couple there that afternoon. A few days later their photo showed up on the café's Instagram — holding a cat they'd just adopted. New family. Found over coffee and cats.

Dan took the whole band back the next day.

Dan couldn’t wait to tell his daughter Samantha all about it.

She didn't need much convincing.

Samantha and cats were always a ‘thing’. There was a stuffed black cat named Black Cat that went everywhere with her growing up — her little ESA before she knew what that meant. Cats were safety. Cats were home. When she moved away to college she finally got her own real ESA — Scout — spent the next year gently asking her parents when they were going to rescue more. Oh, hello Leo!

When her dad called from Indiana, something clicked for both of them.

It took a few years. Life has a way of making you wait for the things worth doing. But the idea never left the conversation. Every few weeks it would come back up — what if we actually did this? Until one day the answer was simply: now.

The gap nobody's talking about.

Shelters are doing incredible, tireless work — we LOVE supporting them and have nothing but respect for every person and organization giving rescue animals a fighting chance.

But we see a lane.

Most people who want to adopt a cat go through the same experience: a shelter visit, one cat at a time, a few minutes in a room to make a life decision — no pressure at all. It's nobody's fault — it's just the model.

What if you could spend an hour with a dozen cats instead? Watch how they interact with each other, how they respond to you — or you to them, which one claims your lap like they've always known you. That's how you really find your cat — not a rushed decision, but a genuine connection made over a cup of coffee.

Better matches. Happier homes. Fewer returns to shelters.

That's the lane we're in.

The cats, the coffee, the community.

Dan spent years on stage as a touring bassist — playing festivals, recording studios, TV appearances (including NBC’s TODAY SHOW), Billboard, MTV — before deciding his next act would be something he could build right here at home- and sleep in the same bed every night! He curates every Lovebeans blend himself — selecting and tasting with the same attention to detail he brought to every note. Slightly obsessed if we’re being honest. He drinks way too much espresso. He has no regrets.

Samantha grew up knowing two things about life: cats are essential, and rockstar dads take their daughters on tour. She's been on the road, navigated the green rooms, ran the merch booth, survived the 6 AM calls, and rolls with that lifestyle with the kind of ease that can't be taught. She holds a degree in digital media art and leads every corner of Lovebeans' creative and digital world — the brand, the social, the story. She is the 51% and the creative engine, and she is exceptionally good at convincing her dad to rescue more cats.

Together they are building something they believe the world needs more of — a place where you walk in and just... exhale.

The people behind it.

Dan & Samantha

Co-founders, cat enthusiasts, and proof that fathers and daughters can build something pretty great together.

We are starting with Five blends. Each one named for a cat we love — Leo, Hobbes, Onyx, Scout, and Toluca. Special and seasonal editions are already taking shape. The Purr List gets first access.

Each bag is a step toward the lounge. Part of every purchase goes directly into our Lounge Fund, building the permanent home this community deserves.

The address isn't set yet — but upstate New York is where this is taking root. We're finding our space, building our community, and getting closer every day.

Until then, find us at markets and events. Come say hello. Bring someone who loves cats.

Sip with purpose. Find your purr.

The Purr List awaits.
